Rotting Christ is an Athens, Greece-based black metal/death metal band formed in 1987. It is noteworthy when non single existence Greece's most famous metal class action however rock group besides.

A lasting line-higher consists of brothers Necromayhem (natural Sakis Tolis, June 29, 1972, Athens, Vocals & Guitar) and Necrosauron (innate Themis Tolis, March 28, 1974, Athens, Drums). Andreas (natural Andreas Lagios, November 11, 1972) has been the bassist since 1996.

In their about deuce decades of being, the band has evolved from either a raw black metal band to an atmospheric dark metal band with gothic metal and melancholic doom metal flourishes, almost doing away by having a black metal title, but not compromising their extreme sound.

A band's virtually all recent album, Sanctus Diavolos, was freed within late 2004 to mostly caring critical reception.
